IN THE BEGININNG......
.....They rose from the smoldering ashes of a recession........They marched, with swagger in their stride and smiles on their faces........................... Armed with only ideas, a pantone swatch and the change in their pockets, they created 'JAM'. They endeavoured to create colourful affordable designs, with an aim to bring light to these dark times.

JOHN McNALLY : ILLUSTRATOR

John 'The Mac' McNally Started out his amazing life as the understudy for the testcard girl 25 years ago. During this period, at the age of 5, John's unbelievable artistic talents shone through. People started to take note of Johns talents the day the test card girl didn't turn up for work, because of a broken hand. On his first day at work, he picked up the chalk and started to draw the most beautiful pictures you have ever seen! He became a child Prodigy over night! But, by the age of 14 John had burned himself out. He had lost his passion for art and went to work for his father installing cable T.V. Never underestimating John, he went on to become the worlds most famous cable guy! fitting cable all over the world!! But, he didn't like the fame, attention or the travelling, until one day he was installing sky T.V in Tony Harts front room.... Tony told him to go to university and live life like ordinary person! Since meeting Tony, Johns life changed beyond his wildest dreams, he had regained his passion for art once more! He packed away his toolbox and went off to study art in Liverpool. He had the best time ever, learning how to draw naked ladies and potted plants, creating logos and fonts, he documented everything he saw!!! John graduated with flying colours!! He is now a resident illustrator at the Bluecoat and is now 33.3% of Jam!!!
NEIL (andrew) KEATING : ILLUSTRATOR

Neil Keating was born on a council Estate in a faraway land. Neil was one of 14 children who was left to fend for himself, in a town called Plucky! On his 6Th birthday he walked down a dark shady alleyway, where amongst the rubbish he found a board with 4 wheels!! From that day he never looked back! Neil became the greatest Street Luger that Plucky had ever seen! People came from housing estates a hundred yards away just to see him GO! Until..... One Fateful Afternoon, when the sun was low and the steaks were high, Neil decided to make a record attempt!! He was to jump over 13 of his friends with the aid of a ramp!! The crowds were full, the pressure was on!! He began his decent....faster and faster he went, travelling at a break neck speed of 15 mph he hit the ramp! BANG!!SMASH!! He'd veered to the right and hit a lamppost, breaking his nose in 14 places. Neil never rode again.... So, he went off to pursue his other passion, drawing!
He went to study as an illustrator at LJMU. where he had the second best time of his life, learning how to draw naked ladies and potted plants, creating characters, comics and fonts. He documented everything he saw!!! Neil graduated with flying colours!! He is now a resident Illustrator at the Bluecoat and is now 33.3% of Jam!!!
MATT MOORE : PRODUCT DESIGNER
Matthew Moore was born in the foothills of the Tibetan mountains where he trained in the arts of Le-fun-D'oh! He spent most of his first 20 years in silence balancing on his sacred left elbow. At the end of his training he left to become a Hollywood moviestar. He got the staring role along side his lifelong hero Mr Miagi as Daniel Laruso in the Karate Kid. During one scence he had a moment of clarity! He was asked to chop a wooden chair in two. He couldn't do it! He realised he had an affinity with wood and design and he couldn't destroy something so beautiful! He knew what he had to do!
He flew over to Liverpool England to enrol as a Product Designer at LJMU. He had the best time, learning how to draw naked ladies and potted plants, creating Tables and lamps, he documented everything he saw!!! Matt graduated with flying colours!! He is now a resident Product Designer at the Bluecoat and is now 33.3% of Jam!!!
